At the effective time of the merger, Roselle Bank was merged with and into Columbia Bank and depositors of Roselle Bank became depositors of Columbia Bank, with the same rights and privileges in Columbia Bank MHC as if their accounts had been established in Columbia Bank on the date established at Roselle Bank. Roselle, NJ -- Roselle Bank, which has served central and northern New Jersey for nearly 130 years, has begun renovating its operations center, located at 108 West Third Avenue, Roselle, NJ across from the bank’s main branch. The facelift is part of Roselle Bank’s comprehensive initiative to enhance customer convenience and overall banking experiences. Located directly across the street from the main Roselle branch, the renovated headquarters will function as the bank’s new operations center. The location will feature a modernized appearance as well as a drive-up teller window and ATM. The improvements are part of Roselle Bank’s strategic repositioning as more than a savings bank, including new capabilities and an upgraded range of banking products, including the introduction of business deposit services and loans. The groundbreaking of the headquarters facility is the first in a series of modernization efforts; renovations to the bank’s branches are forthcoming, with upgrades to the main Roselle branch slated to start late September. Maintaining the goal of accessibility for customers, the Roselle branch’s renovations will include a complete redesign of the interior and exterior, and the addition of a new walk-up ATM to optimize convenience. Upgrades to Further Enhance Convenience and Customer Experience Roselle, NJ -- Roselle Bank, which has served central and northern New Jersey for nearly 130 years, has changed its name to Roselle Bank as part of its initiative to further enhance customers’ overall banking experience. The change is part of the bank’s strategic repositioning, as its functions extend well beyond the parameters of a typical savings bank. The brand refresh will focus on outlining new capabilities and debuting an array of new banking products for both business and consumer. The bank also has plans for renovations to its company headquarters, new operations center and main office branch located in Roselle, NJ. Luke Schraer of Ridge High School received the $1000 Roselle Savings Scholarship for winning its Business Education Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement. Maureen Wolfenden, Bernardsville Branch Manager, along with Ridge High School principal Drew Krause, presented Luke with the award at the Ridge High School Awards Night on May 29. Additionally, Arianna Olsen of Abraham Clark High School was presented the Scholarship for Outstanding Business and Finance Student on June 7 by Carl Zeitlinger, Senior Vice President & Compliance Officer of Roselle Bank and Abraham Clark Vice Principal Shelia Williams. Candidates for the annual award are evaluated on a variety of criteria, including academic achievement, exemplary participation in extracurricular business activities, and commitment to areas of study. Luke excelled in his studies at Ridge High School, and graduated with a cumulative GPA of 3.59. Fascinated by business and entrepreneurship, many of Luke’s courses revolved around these subjects, and extended to marketing and digital design. He will attend Clemson University in the fall, where he plans to pursue a dual major in entertainment marketing and public communications. Branch managers have been working with area schools to arrange group welcome visits to the bank – along with parents or guardians – for money-saving tutorials and to open Student Savings Accounts. To increase participation, Roselle Bank is sweetening the deal by rewarding the student that deposits the most money during the seven-week period with a $25 gift card to Rita’s Italian Ice. Students can open an account with as little as $1.00 and will earn interest on their savings. Those that can’t make it to a specific event are encouraged to stop by anytime to get started.
